Regs Subchapter 3 – Preliminary Assessment.  Based upon the findings of the preliminary assessment, a report will be prepared and submitted to the NJDEP, the state will then determine whether additional information and testing is necessary in order to issue a No Further Action Letter. The purpose of a preliminary assessment is to identify the presence of any potentially contaminated areas of concern.  If any potentially contaminated areas of concern are identified, then there is need for a further site investigation pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:26E-3.3.
